The primary living space is interlocked with the kitchen and dining spaces by the clever use of a double-sided hearth which provides a spatial focal element and anchors family gatherings.

The design of the house carefully incorporates elements to maximize the experience of Lake James. Exterior spaces throughout merge the interiors with the landscape expanding the interior spaces outward towards the lake.
